DESCRIPTION:Young musicians from Frome College and Selwood Academy will fill the town with music once again on Saturday 22nd March. From 11am – 2pm\, the musicians will work their way around amplified and acoustic stages in the town centre\, including the Westway precinct\, Boyle Cross\, outside the Cheese and Grain and Catherine Hill\, playing 15-minute live music sets. The event marks the final day of Frome Kindness Festival\, which runs from 15th – 22nd March. \nFrome Busks line-up\nThe Bands Stage \n\nButane Skies – A 4-piece alternative indie rock band. Inspired by bands like Muse\, My Chemical Romance and Radiohead\, the group initially formed at Frome College in 2022 and is now in the process of recording their first official public release.\nBlindhouse – A fairly new band at college enthused by their debut performance at Later…with Frome College in the summer. Returning for their second performance expect a range of high energy rock covers.\nSolipsists – Returning for another year\, the solipsists are a post 16 band playing a range of indie and rock songs.\nMild Steel – Post 16 band led by year 13 Millie\, performing songs from Fairport Convention\, Nora Jones and Carole King\nPedestrian Speed Limit – A group of very talented year 10’s; these young musicians perform an eclectic mix of popular cover songs\n\nBusking Stations \n\nFlorie and Josey – These fantastic years 10s will be performing some of their favourite songs ranging from pop to musical theatre\nLula – Handpan extraordinaire. Lula is in year 9 and performs immersive pieces on her hang drum\nAlexa – the dynamic duo will be performing singing a range of pop and theatre covers\nJoe – Singer songwriter from Westbury performing a number of his own compositions in an indie style.\nSyd– will be singing and playing guitar performing a range of pop/ rock covers\nEmily – After recently playing the lead in the school show Emily is once again stepping into the spotlight but this time performing a range of pop covers\nAnnie – A talented year 9 singer performing a range of pop tunes accompanied by her dad on guitar.\nTabby\, Layla and Olly – A group from a mix of years who enjoy spending their spare time in the music department. Their dynamic performance promises to be one not to miss!\n\nThe Showcase stage\nHelen Temmink (local Singing teacher) will be welcoming a range of soloists of varying age groups from schools in Frome including Frome College and Selwood Academy. \nLocations of performers \nCheck out the locations of the ‘Busking Stations’. The artists will rotate across the various spots during the day. \n
