DESCRIPTION:\n\nCome and learn how to mend your clothes in this hands on session with volunteers from Everyone Needs Pockets Network. \nBooking available only through Eventbrite: click here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHoles in your clothes? Button fallen off? Tear in a favourite shirt? Things lying about waiting for that mend? Here’s your opportunity to fix them in this hands on session. \nVolunteer stitchers and menders from the Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Reuse Network can help work out what needs doing and how to fix it\, supporting you to mend your own clothes. \nWhat we can help with: \n\nButtons and fasteners\nTaking up hems and some fitting adjustments\nMending and darning holes\nAdvice on how you might repair a piece of clothing\, including zips.\n\nThis session is at Frome Boulder Rooms — a wonderful venue — you can watch everyone climbing and mend your clothes. And there’s a café with drinks and snacks available to purchase. \nCome and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere of mending your clothes. \nThese sessions are designed for all abilities and many kinds of repairs. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult throughout the session. \nPlease answer the questions as you book in\, so we know how best to help you! \nOur sessions are free of charge\, but we welcome donations towards our activities! \n\n\n\n\nYour hosts: \nEveryone Needs Pockets is a growing network of 150+ makers\, designers\, stitchers\, knitters\, supporters\, and researchers. The network works together to grow projects and enterprises that reuse textiles\, save carbon and landfill and increase our wellbeing. \nFrome Boulder Rooms is a purpose-built bouldering centre started in 2021 imagined from the team’s love of climbing and the outdoor lifestyle. \nFuture Shed Frome offers practical support to get green and healthy initiatives and enterprises off the ground through building networks\, connecting people and start-up coaching. Share ideas\, get support to bring them to life and make new connections so that we’re all better equipped for a greener\, healthier future. Future Shed is part of Edventure\, an organisation supporting community entrepreneurship in Frome. \nThis activity is part of Green & Healthy Frome a partnership programme with Edventure Frome\, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council taking action on health and climate.
