Things lying about waiting for that mend? Here’s your opportunity to fix them in this hands-on session at Frome Boulder Rooms. \n\nBook for free on Eventbrite here \n\nTalented volunteer stitchers and menders from the Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Reuse Network can help work out what needs doing and how to fix it\, supporting you to mend your own clothes. This session is at Frome Boulder Rooms – we’re moving around the town encouraging repair of all kinds of clothing! \nCome and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere of mending your clothes\, with refreshments available to purchase. These sessions are designed for all abilities and many different kind of repairs. Please answer the questions as you book in\, so we know how best to help you! \nWhat we can help with: \n\nButtons and fasteners\nTaking up hems and some fitting adjustments\nMending and darning holes\nAdvice on how you might repair a piece of clothing\, including zips.\n\n\n\n\n\nYour hosts: \nEveryone Needs Pockets is a growing network of 150+ makers\, designers\, stitchers\, knitters\, supporters and researchers. The network works together to grow projects and enterprises that reuse textiles\, save carbon and landfill and increase our wellbeing: revamp\, repurpose\, reuse\, repair. \nFrome Boulder Rooms is a purpose-built bouldering centre started in 2021 imagined from the team’s love of climbing and the outdoor lifestyle. \nFuture Shed Frome offers practical support to get green and healthy initiatives and enterprises off the ground through building networks\, connecting people and start-up coaching. Share ideas\, get support to bring them to life and make new connections so that we’re all better equipped for a greener\, healthier future. Future Shed is part of Edventure\, an organisation supporting community entrepreneurship in Frome. \nThis activity is part of Green & Healthy Frome a partnership programme with Edventure Frome\, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council taking action on health and climate. It is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund. \n\n\n
