DESCRIPTION:The Power of Climate Action and Kindness\nIn our interconnected world\, we are affected by profound and transformative forces: \n\n\nClimate change poses significant challenges to our planet\, impacting ecosystems\, weather patterns\, and communities. \n\n\nKindness serves as a uniting force\, fostering empathy\, cooperation\, and resilience. \n\n\nWhat is The Climate Fresk?\nThe Climate Fresk is a half-day interactive workshop that:✔ Guides participants through climate science and our changing climate system.✔ Empowers individuals to take meaningful action.✔ Uses an interactive deck of cards to simplify complex scientific reports. \nBackground and Impact\n\n\nCreated in 2018 by climate educator Cédric Ringenbach. \n\n\nBased on reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). \n\n\nHelps participants understand how climate systems interconnect. \n\n\nStrengthens awareness of social issues related to climate change. \n\n\nOver 2 million people worldwide have participated. \n\n\nOperated by a non-profit organization based in France. \n\n\nA Special Adaptation for the Frome Kindness Festival\nThis in-person workshop will feature professional facilitation by Sarah Poppy Jackson and Madeleine Mauwer. \nJoin us to: \n🌿 Cultivate systems thinking \n🌍 Develop climate compassion \n🤝 Strengthen your community\, resolve\, support\, and kindness \nBe part of the change! \n
