SUMMARY:Trio Paradis: Following the Gypsies
DESCRIPTION:Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Ruth O’Shea – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert on the first Thursday of each month (Feb-Dec) at 1.15pm at Christ Church: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café open from c12.45pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes and listen to live music. It’s c£3.50 for a drink and a cake. \nThis month’s music is inspired by the traditional travelling people of Eastern Europe\, with pieces including ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’ by Dvořák\, Haydn’s Gypsy Rondo\, and various Dumkas and other dances. \nConcerts last c45mins and entrance is by donation. An RSVP via our website is appreciated\, but you can just turn up – maybe bring a cushion for the pew! \nMore information at www.trioparadis.com. \n
